Day 2 of our Cusco Tour Package is an exciting journey through the Sacred Valley, leading us to the gateway of Machu Picchu. Today, will be packed with stunning landscapes and ancient ruins, a vital part of our Machu Picchu Package Tour.
Pisac.
Our day will start early with a scenic drive to Pisac. Here we will visit its impressive Inca ruins and vibrant market. We will explore the archaeological site, marveling at the agricultural terraces and solar observatories that showcase the ingenuity of the Inca civilization. The market in Pisac will be our next stop, where you can browse handmade crafts and local produce, immersing yourself in the bustling atmosphere.
Urubamba.
Next, we will head to Urubamba, a charming town in the heart of the Sacred Valley. Here you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch featuring traditional Andean cuisine, offering a taste of the local flavors and culinary traditions.
Ollantaytambo.
We will spend the afternoon in Ollantaytambo, a massive Incan complex. This fortress, with its massive stone terraces, overlooks the town and offers insights into the strategic significance of the area during Inca times. There will be an opportunity to climb the terraces and witness the breathtaking views of the valley.
Train to Aguas Calientes.
As the sun begins to set, we will board a train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes, the town located at the base of Machu Picchu. This train ride is an experience in itself, offering panoramic views of the Andean landscape as we follow the course of the Urubamba River.
Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, we will check into our hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening, preparing for the upcoming visit to Machu Picchu the following day.
