Itinerary
Cusco to Phullawasipata
Our E-Bike Tour to the Rainbow Mountain Ride experience will start with an early morning. We will pick you up around 6am on our shuttle to the beautiful Vinicunca. It will take us about 3 hours to our destination. Our ride there will be packed with breathtaking views and a breakfast stop in Cusipata.
Along the way, we’ll enjoy views of ancient Inca terraces, still in use by local farmers, beautiful valleys, and rugged mountain landscapes.
Once we arrive to Cusipata, we will head into a local restaurant. Here, we will enjoy breakfast together before continuing on to Phullawasipata, where the trailhead awaits. You will see herds of llamas and alpacas milling around, and huge mountains in every direction.
Here our guide will run a trail briefing covering safety instructions, explanations about the trail and a crash course on ebike’s riding, getting us ready for the Rainbow mountain on E-bikes. Time to ride bikes!
Time to summit Vinicunca
Our ride will start with a light uphill. Along this segment we will enjoy the views of snow-capped peaks, the red mountains and the unique valley in between those. We might see some cara cara falcons, llamas, alpacas and even Andean Condors.
On our way to the summit, we will have a last challenge that will takes to 4995m/16388ft. It consists of a climb of about 15 minutes, then we will be in the world famous Vinicunca. Here we will take a moment to enjoy the views of the Rainbow Mountain, take some pictures and rest a little before continuing.
The next segment of the ride will be a downhill to the base of Wasaqucha. This peak is part of the
Vilcanota Mountain Range. There, we will visit a couple of lakes and make a stop for snacks. From here we will start our return. The first part will be an uphill for about 15 mins. Then it’ll followed by 4km/2.48miles of only downhill back to our Van.
We will say goodbye to the Rainbow Mountain and head back to Cusipata for a well-deserved lunch at another local restaurant. Finally, we will return to Cusco with an estimated time of arrival at 6:00 p.m.

Client Cancellation:
To cancel, send a written notice to “69 Explorer.” The initial deposit is not refundable. Check your insurance for potential coverage for cancellation reasons.
Cancellations more than 15 days before departure result in a 50% deposit forfeiture. For cancellations between 7 and 15 days before departure, if full payment has been made, 50% of the total cost will be refunded. No refunds are given for cancellations less than 48 hours before departure or for partial tour cancellations.
Alterations/Cancellations by Us:
In the event of unforeseen circumstances such as technical issues, adverse weather, strikes, government actions, or civil disturbances, “69 Explorer” will try to provide alternative arrangements or equivalent trips, without offering refunds. Itinerary adjustments may be necessary, but we will aim to maintain the agreed services.
Significant changes will be communicated before your trip, with comparable alternative plans offered. Any additional costs from these changes are the client’s responsibility. We cannot compensate for expenses like international flights, visas, vaccinations, etc.
If “69 Explorer” cancels a tour, a full refund will be provided.
All 69 Explorer trips are guided by Local Experienced, English-speaking guides familiar with the trail and Incan history.
