Experience the enchantment of the Andes with a full-day Cusco to Machu Picchu Tour by Expedition Train. Early in the morning, at 4:00 am, start our adventure. Pick up from your hotel in Cusco, traveling in our private van to the Ollantaytambo Train Station. For those who prefer to start in Ollantaytambo, we can arrange a pick-up between 5:20 – 5:30 am. The anticipation builds as we board the 6:10 am. The Expedition train, setting off on a journey that provides the comfort of modern travel with the mystique of ancient landscapes.

As the train departs Ollantaytambo, immediately entering the captivating Vilcanota River canyon. Here, the narrow passageways and steep walls, draped in lush sub-tropical jungle, frame our path. See Inca terraces across the river, some still farmed today, showcasing a living history.

When you arrive in Aguas Calientes, the guide will be waiting for you at the train station. Have a moment to grab a snack before we take the shuttle to the mystical site of Machu Picchu. On arrival to Machu Picchu the guide will take you on a 2-hour guided tour. On the tour explore the agricultural, residential, and religious sectors of the Machu Picchu Citadel, delving deep into its history and marveling at its architectural prowess.

After soaking in the spectacular views and rich history of Machu Picchu, descend back to Aguas Calientes. Here, you can enjoy lunch (not included) and perhaps indulge in some shopping, sightseeing, or even a visit to the museum or hot springs, time permitting.

The return journey to Ollantaytambo via the Expedition train, departs at 3:20 pm, 4:22 pm, 4:43 pm, or 6:20 pm, promises more scenic delights.
