Choose Your Date Important information about booking Inca Trail permits:
- The Inca Trail is one of the most popular hikes in Peru. It must be planned well in advance — ideally 6 to 8 months before. Last-minute bookings are not always guaranteed.
- Once we book your Inca Trail tickets, there are not changes— neither the date nor the name. Please double-check that all your information is correct before booking.
- Due to new regulations from the Ministry of Culture (the governing entity in charge of Inca Trail permits), Inca Trail tickets only allow entry to Machu Picchu and the classic viewpoint (the famous photo spot). After that, you must exit. In the past, it was possible to re-enter the citadel. It is not possible anymore. To have a guided tour inside Machu Picchu, it’s important to know that you must purchase an additional entrance ticket. That’s why it’s important to check not only Inca Trail availability but also Machu Picchu ticket availability.
- Confused? Don’t worry — we’ll help you through the process. That’s why it’s very important to wait for the confirmation email, where we’ll explain every detail of your trip!
